Interview with Steve Hewins of Hospitality Maine

Hospitality—particularly restaurant services—are very important to our C What’s On audience since they often go out to eat before attending a show. This week, we managed a visit with Steve Hewins, the President and CEO of the brand new Hospitality Maine. This organization is a result of a merger between the Maine Restaurant Association and the Maine Innkeeper’s Association. What’ s particularly interesting about our interview with Steve is a proposed apprenticeship program, which pays people to work in the hospitality industry while earning credit toward a certificate or advancing toward a degree.
